Carter Ferguson joined Brackett & Ellis as Shareholder and Director in 1991, after having served as Vice President and General Counsel for a Fort Worth-based American Stock Exchange company. Mr. Ferguson has broad experience in general corporate matters, business transactions and commercial litigation. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, representing officers and directors of private and public companies, and the negotiation, drafting and interpretation of a wide variety of business and commercial contracts. Mr. Ferguson has successfully represented public corporations, private entities, insurers, and individuals in state and federal courts on a wide variety of commercial disputes and first party insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Ferguson has served on the Limited Liability Company Committee, and on the Corporation Law Committee, of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
