Scot Pierce is an experienced business litigator and bankruptcy attorney.  A large part of his practice is dedicated to representing factors and secured creditors.  His litigation experience includes litigating business disputes, breaches of contract, secured and unsecured creditor issues, real estate disputes, and employment agreements.  Mr. Pierce’s bankruptcy experience includes representing creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy matters including motions for relief from stay, claims litigation, preference litigation, objections to plan confirmation, objections to discharge, and negotiating cash collateral orders.

Prior to joining Brackett & Ellis, Mr. Pierce worked as a Dallas County Felony Prosecutor where he tried over 60 jury trials and numerous bench trials.  Mr. Pierce is also on the International Factoring Association’s recommended attorney list and has been voted one of the Top Bankruptcy Attorneys in Fort Worth by Fort Worth Magazine. In addition, in 2010 Mr. Pierce received an award from the State Bar of Texas for Best Series of Articles - Substantive Law for his articles on creditor rights.
