Brackett & Ellis seeks highly-qualified candidates for associate positions with demonstrated excellence in academics and strong writing skills. Each year we evaluate the firm’s needs and determine whether we will be hiring laterally or through our summer associate program.
Our summer associates are exposed to all aspects of the firm’s practice with opportunities to work and interact with a majority of the firm’s attorneys. Each summer associate is assigned shareholder and associate mentors, who work together to coordinate assignments, provide guidance, and ensure that each summer associate has a positive professional experience. In addition to research and writing assignments, every effort is made to allow summer associates to observe trials, mediations, depositions, hearings, closings, and client conferences.
Brackett & Ellis typically hires summer associates through the on-campus interview programs at selected Texas law schools. We also accept applications from students attending law school out of state.
