Joe Cleveland will be moderating a Judicial Advocacy Panel at the Inaugural Northern District of Texas Bench Bar Conference
Hosted by the Fort Worth and Dallas Chapters of the Federal Bar Association at the Four Seasons Resort and Club in Irving Texas. The Judicial Advocacy Panel will consist of District Judge Sidney A. Fitzwater, Bankruptcy Chief Judge Barbara J. Houser, Magistrate Judge Jeffrey L. Cureton, and Magistrate Judge Hal R. Ray, Jr. The program will also include panel discussions on legal writing and argument and civility in the legal profession as well as breakout sessions for civil practice, criminal practice, intellectual property, or bankruptcy topics.
Joe Cleveland has practiced in the area of commercial and intellectual property litigation for over 20 years. He has extensive trial and appellate experience representing entrepreneurs, inventors, and private and publicly-traded companies. His practice includes a broad range of complex commercial litigation involving patent, copyright, trademark, trade secrets, antitrust, contracts, employment, oil and gas, securities, and other commercial matters. He also represents clients in professional liability, class action and products liability litigation. He has tried civil cases in both state and federal courts and has successfully handled appeals before the United States Supreme Court and various federal courts of appeal. He also assists clients in protecting intellectual property rights before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and the United States Copyright Office.
